Frequently Asked Questions

People are frightened and confused right now and understandably so. We will do our best to answer as many of the most frequently asked questions as we can. We encourage you to schedule an  on-site consultation or a phone consultation to better understand what we can do for you.

How long does it take

The initial inspection and consultation takes about 1-2 hours. The actual work depends on the scope of the Plan

How much does it cost

There is no charge for the initial consultation. The cost depends on the scope of the Plan, but we work with every budget

Who does the work

Our crews of experienced full time employees.

Do you use sub-contractors

We do the work. Occasionally it is necessary to bring in another licensed specialist. We will let you know in advance if that is necessary

Are there any rebates

There are grants, rebates and discount programs available. We can go over some of them with you, but they are directly through 3rd parties or fed, state or local government agencies

Do you have insurance

We are licensed, bonded and fully insured. We carry Workers comp., General Liability and Vehicle insurance. We provide all our clients with a Certificate of Insurance

Is there a Guarantee

No. There's no way to guarantee that your house won't be damaged or destroyed by wildfire. But, we'll do our best to help you protect your home

Are you high tech

Yes and No. You'll be meeting with a live human being with over 40 years of  experience  behind him.  He will be using some very special equipment and software to perform the inspection and prepare your wildfire Plan and Estimate

What about my insurance

It's a good idea to talk to your Broker. Rates are going up. Policies are being cancelled and insurers are leaving the State. Your Broker can tell you about what you should do.

Do you do landscaping

Not really. Part of the overall plan usually includes some degree of landscaping. We can develop a more detailed landscaping plan should one be requested or required.

....but I love my trees

Sometimes trimming and removing trees is part of the recommended Plan, but it's your house and you don't have to do anything you don't want to do.

Do you do other work

We try to stay focused on fire related issues. We're not there to sell you a kitchen remodel, but we are General Contractors and happy to look at any other projects you have in mind..
